The 5 Love Languages

This book was an eye-opener for me in understanding how things that I appreciate most from others is not what others appreciate. Equally important, what one person is comfortable doing to express appreciation, isn't always what someone else wants. These disconnects explain many issues in relationships. Understanding what motivates others and how to show your appreciation for them in a way that resonates starts with your significant other, but can apply to anyone.

The lesson is that connecting with others starts with recognizing that people are so different, especially in how they communicate. But there’s a much broader lesson embedded in this book if you read between the lines.
