Empire of Wealth by John Steele Gordon
In the meantime, below are a few of my favorite books from 2012: Empire of Wealth: The Epic History of American Economic Power – Gordon (my favorite, though it was published in 2005) Jackass Investing: Don’t do it. Profit from it – Dever (unfortunate title, good book) What Works on Wall Street, Fourth Edition: The Classic Guide to the Best-Performing Investment Strategies of All Time – O’Shaughnessy (good update and review of quant stock screens)

Hedge Hunters by Katherine Burton
My favorite so far is the just released Hedge Hunters: Hedge Fund Masters on the Rewards, the Risk, and the Reckoning, but then again I am a sucker for the “Market Wizard” style books.
