The Cosmic Landscape: String Theory and the Illusion of Intelligent Design by Leonard Susskind
That book struck me as embodying the worst aspects of where string theory has ended up, promoting to the public in a high-profile way a dangerously pseudo-scientific excuse for string theory's failure.
